Human Engineering
Toward Becoming a Better Corporate Citizen
Dedicated to Technology, Ever Since Our Founding
Our company was founded in 1955 for the purpose of manufacturing all kinds of gauges, jigs, and precision measurement tools.Ever since then, based on our knowledge of fluid engineering and our precision machining technology, we have dedicated ourselves to technology, expanding our business into the fields of design and manufacture of hydraulic equipment and equipment for ships, and we are now recognized for the high quality and functionality of our products by such clients as Tadano Ltd., Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., and Hitachi Power Solutions Co., Ltd.Then in 1984 we joined in the development of new materials as a member of the Kagawa Prefecture Industry-Academia-Government Joint Research Society.
Pursuing High Precision
Our relentless pursuit and accumulation of technology allows for the machining and assembly of high-precision products on a submicron level.
Here at Morikawa Gauge Works, in order to train excellent engineers, we encourage our workers to enter the Skill Olympics and to acquire various qualifications such as the technician examination, and have been employing a qualification acquisition incentive system and other such initiatives, to raise the overall technical level of our entire company.
We have also been performing analysis using various measuring instruments, performing rational inspection of each process, introducing the latest equipment such as robots, and constructing factory systems aimed at an integrated system from research and development to production, all toward the goal of achieving the highest quality possible.
What We Can Do Going Forward
Under the concept of “human engineering,” we are constantly focusing our efforts on research and development of new technologies and new products, with the aim of manufacturing products that are rich in creativity and make life more comfortable. Moreover, it’s not just a pursuit of technology, as we have established an integrated service system covering everything from design to maintenance, and have performed corporate activities by putting ourselves in our customers’ shoes. For product development, our free development of ideas, without tying ourselves to a particular field, has allowed us to produce a wide range of new technologies and products, such as food processing machinery using far infrared radiation, and a container for flexible containers incorporating a number of ideas. We are also developing products in consideration of the environment, such as horticultural planters made from repurposed old car tires.
In our future research and development, we intend to continue seriously engaging with major issues like nvironmental degradation, conservation of resources, and energy conservation. We are keenly aware of the importance of having this reflected in our products and services.
As a Member of Our Community
The thing that props up Morikawa Gauge Works more than anything is its people. That, and society. In a society composed of all kinds of people—young and old, people with disabilities and those in perfect health, and people from around the world with different cultures and value systems—our basic principle is to encourage each other and help each other out.Examples include our accepting of trainees from overseas, dispatching engineers, training, and so on.We also place great value on the viewpoint of what we as a corporation can do, and what we must do, for the local community, through such activities as providing learning materials to the local children.
Using Our Rich Knowledge to Enrich Life
We live in an age of change from uniform values to individualization and diversification, so, with the goal of inspiring an awareness of the need to adapt to our environment and to endeavor with a spirit of challenge, we provide training on themes like the environment, health, and safety, holding seminars with invited lecturers.
Moreover, through parties and events, overseas company study trips, and so on, we allow our employees to encounter various different value systems, and we hope that by doing this we can contribute to building more rounded human resources.
